I just recently purchased a Husqvarna Vapenfabriks A-B Sweden 270 Win. Nitro Rifle/ with a 3 to 9 power Tasco Scope. I paid $ 669.00 dollars for the gun and since I’m not familiar with this make of rifle, I’m just wondering if I got took. I might add also that it is mint condition. As a matter of fact it looks new.

This is a 6.5 x55 caliber World War II Rifle marked with on Jan 18, 2014 It is also easy to quickly see the makers detail on the receiver ring which reads; “HUSQVARNA VAPENFABRIKS / AKTIEBOLAG / 1942” The serial number is on the outside of the action wall; “646726” This is repeated in part on many other components making it, for the most part, a matching rifle. In 1867 the company became a limited company under the name Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag. Ad for the company from 1899, for their velocipede.

Features shrouded front sight, ladder rear sight, sooth wood stocks, and comes with leather military sling. Bolt handle has the number "877" stamped on, rear of the bolt has "877" electro-penned to it below the safety lever.

Approximately 40,000 rifles m / 96 were purchased from the German Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf a / N, about 445,000 copies were licensed by Carl Gustaf's rifle factor in Eskilstuna and another 20,000 m / 96 was manufactured by Husqvarna Arms Factory 1942-1944 to the Volunteer Shooting Federation (FSR). The barrel is marked Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag 1942.
